Settlement support for newcomers

The Newcomers' Centre staff are available to support newcomers' needs especially in this challenging times.  Our Settlement Counselors are working remotely via phone, email, Zoom and Whatsup to provide the much needed critical management support to our new arrivals. We are also helping newcomers to apply for the various income support that have been released by the government (i.e. CERB, CESB, EI, Support for Families, OW, etc.).  Please note that lengthy and non-urgent matters such as Citizenship applications will be deferred to another time as this requires detailed and time intensive support from staff.

Our Seniors' Cafe has moved online, meeting every Friday from 3-5pm.

Online Language Training

We continuously provide the much needed support of newcomers to enhance their English language skills by offering self-directed curriculum online and one-on-one and group webinar support.  Our Language teachers are always ready to help you.  More importantly, we are also helping newcomers acquire their LINC certificate in order to start applying for Citizenship.  Call us now to register!
