As our communities are filled with under-used space, many Scarborough residents are working together to learn how we can turn our balconies, lawns and backyards into productive gardens. The backyard and balcony garden program is a community of backyard and balcony gardeners supporting each other to grow food at home and creating a greener community. ACSA’s Food Security department provides garden supplies, direct one-on-one support with gardeners, regular workshops, and connects others with a network of resources. No experience is needed! We invite persons of all ages to get involved.
